Editorial Portrait: Blood Bike Rider for Hochtief

During lockdown I’ve been able to pick up the odd portrait commission, with all wedding and event work having gone for the foreseeable future its been great to have the odd shoot day. Luckily, the Welsh early spring/summer weather was on my side and so I was able to shoot this at a safe enough distance.

The portrait was for German construction company, Hochtief and their group magazine, Concepts. The subject was an employee of the company who also volunteers as a blood bike rider, as you can imagine he’s been pretty busy…

A quick trip up to Cardiff earlier this week to photograph the a mural painted for the charity Mind who are running a campaign alongside the English Football League.

The English Football League (EFL) and their charity partner, Mind, have launched an awareness campaign for World Mental Health Day 2019, Goals Worth Talking About.

In between jobs I’m still trying to find time to finish off a small set of images from Lisbon from a visit a few weeks ago. Hopefully I should have those up here in a week or so, hopefully!

I recently attended a St Davids day breakfast meeting, hosted by Midas Group (Mi-Space) at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea. This year their guest speaker was Welsh football legend, Dean Saunders.

I’ve had the pleasure of hearing Dean speak at an event previously and enjoyed some of his stories, particularly the one about nearly signing for Brian Clough!

So it appears there's been a bit of a gap between this and my last blog post! Some of that is down to me being on a road trip around the west coast of the USA (Pics and blog post coming at some point...!) so that's my excuse!

PR Photographer Wales: Spark Something Good / Marks and Spencer

Having worked with Marks and Spencer on their beach clean campaign last year I was excited to help out again this year photographing a number of their events and projects taking place in and around Swansea.

Over the few days I spent time with volunteers helping to make over the family room at the wonderful Ty Olwen at Morriston Hospital, the Swansea Community Farm project, a 50's themed luncheon and of course, the beach clean!

It was a fun and varied shoot over the few days and it was great to be able to capture the hard work of all the volunteers that helped make it a success.
